How to Make the AI Zombie Video (CapCut, Dreamina & Two-Photo Method)
Step-by-step tutorial for the AI zombie trend: make the zombie love story video with a free prompt in CapCut or Dreamina, or from two photos in five minutes.
Last updated: 2026-10-08
You can make the AI zombie trend video two ways: free with a prompt in an AI video app, or from two photos with a generator. Both are below.
What you need
- Photo 1: the survivor — usually you. Front-facing, face fully visible, even light.
- Photo 2: the one who turns — your partner, friend, family member or pet.
- About 10 minutes (prompt route) or 2 minutes plus render time (generator route).
Method 1: free, with a prompt
- Open an app with a reference-image video model. Dreamina and CapCut run ByteDance's Seedance models; Kling and Higgsfield also accept reference images. Most give a few free credits per day.
- Pick image-to-video with multiple references (sometimes called "reference", "elements" or "multi-image"). Upload photo 1 first, photo 2 second.
- Paste the prompt. Copy it from our free zombie love story prompt page.
- Set the length and format. Choose the longest duration your plan allows (10–15 seconds) and 9:16 for TikTok or Reels.
- Generate, then re-roll if faces drift. The zombie shots are where likeness breaks most. Keep the take where the turned face still looks like them.
- Add sound and post. Drop in the trending audio, add an "AI-generated" label and post.
What usually goes wrong: the two faces swap after the cut, the zombie turns gory, or the cut happens too early. Keeping the PERSON A / PERSON B labels and the "no blood and no gore" line in the prompt fixes most of it.
Method 2: two photos, done for you
- Go to the zombie video generator.
- Upload photo 1 (survivor) and photo 2 (the one who turns).
- Choose the story (partner or pet), the warm memory (meadow, beach, cozy cabin, first home kitchen or autumn park) and the format (9:16 or 16:9).
- Sign in — your first video is free in 480p. After that it's $6.99 per 720p video, no subscription required.
- Wait about five minutes and download the MP4. You can leave the page; it's saved in My videos.
If a render fails, the video is returned to your account automatically so you can try again with different photos.
Guides for other apps
Each app handles the two photos and the cut differently, so these walk through one app at a time:
- Higgsfield — Seedance 2.0 makes the whole 15-second story in one take; Kling 3.0 is cheaper but needs two clips.
- Google Flow — Veo 3.1 caps clips at 8 seconds, so you make two from the same ingredients and cut on the hug.
- PixVerse — free daily credits; Fusion for the full story, Transition for the zombie-to-memory morph.
Which method should you use?
- Use the prompt if you like tweaking, already have credits in an app, or want a different story.
- Use the generator if you want the finished video without writing or re-rolling prompts.
Posting checklist
- 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts; 16:9 for YouTube.
- Add the trending sound — the video ships with ambient sound only, so music won't clash.
- Label it AI-generated.
- Tag the person in it (they agreed, right?).
Skip the prompt — make it from two photos
Upload two photos and get the finished zombie love story in about five minutes. Your first video is free in 480p, then from $6.99, no subscription required.
